Big thanks to Stevens Marine and to Jeff for putting the Port V Port tournament on, was a great time as usual, and better fishing than the last couple years for sure!  

Fairly consistent yet frustrating day for us, ending 9/21.  8 coho, 1 laker.  

Headed out to the state line where we had had a great day last trip out, with intention of pushing northwest if no action early.  We were 3/6 in the first 45 minutes, lost two that got tangled which set the tone unfortunately.  Ended up staying right around 45/14 all day, action was consistent enough to not want to leave the area.

Hot rod of the day was a wire diver back 115, 1.5 setting Pink Firetiger UV dipsy, UV Frog flasher, and an orange tinsel fly.  Only landed 2 of the 10 fish that hit that rod.  Changed out the hook after 5 lost fish, changed the drag, rod position, and barely made a difference.  Only other thing I thought of is maybe the snubber wasn't enough.

Moonshine Crabface SWR set at 37' took 2
Orange 00 dodger/green fly on 3 color
Orange 0 dodger/green fly DR at 32'
White Dragon Slayer/firecracker fly wire diver back 105'
Firedot 0 dodger, purple fly, high diver out 60.

14lb Lake trout hit on a 9 color with RV Flounder Pounder that wore my wife out.

Lost a few others, but didn't write those all down.  Overall fun day on the water with the family, just wish we could have landed half of what we had lost off that wire diver.

Great job still though Joe and thanks for participating. When your losing fish like that it can be real frustrating, but good job sticking with it.
