TOPIC:

Went out last night to check out the big moon and to work the same spots Tmik34 worked Saturday morning.  Hear slower reports west of us and rough weather that morning but we decided to go anyways.  The lake was almost dead calm and we glided out south of the state line looking for bait on the graph.  Didn't see a ton of bait really but the fish marks were there down 20-40'.  Our north troll only produced one fish all night but our south trolls were our money makers.  We started boxing fish pretty soon after our turn and had 2 kings and a coho in before 7pm, one being 15 lbs.  Spun around for another dud north troll and on our next turn south we timed the sunset/moonrise perfectly.  Chaos ensued and we had drags screaming and kings flopping on the deck.  We fished until it was fairly dark and the doubles and triples slowed up but we pulled lines with 6 kings and 2 coho with 4 or 5 more fish lost.  3 kings in the 15 lb range.  Heavy current from the north had us 1.7 gps and 2.5 at the ball going north.  South troll was dialed at 2.1-2.3 at the ball.  Almost all king hits were on something with a black accent (silver streak pink alewife, green glow frog flasher fly, mixed veggie and blue bubble flasher- nothing on moonshines strangely).  Dipsies and Riggers did the work about 45-55' down in about 60-70 fow.  Big thanks to Tim on the report- it put us right on fish.The flies were the worst I have ever seen.  Had to cover mouths to talk.
