Tried to find some fish while taking the wife for a boat ride yesterday but it was too choppy. Fished in the 50-60 ft. range and only managed one small King about 3# on a slider and it got released. Good water temps are back, but not alot of marks. There are some perch being caught again, a guy coming in as I went out said he caught 20. The wind picked up to about 15mph from the north, and I could see my wife was done having fun so I called it quits before dark.
I did see a boat taking a picture with a jack at the mouth of the Paw Paw river on my way in, but there was only one boat jigging there.

I'm going on a St Joe charter 9/22. Filling in on a cancellation. I'll report back what we do and relevant details. I'm itching to ask a few questions, and will definately have my eyes peeled. Will be my first Lake Michigan salmon/lake trout charter. Only been to Lake Erie and St Joe River trips prior.

Thanks, hope to learn a few tips and tricks to help in our arsenal. We did pretty dang good this year for a couple of amateurs.

Got to give a big thanks to this great site for sharing good info, and to the guys from Big Lake Little Boat. They really got us interested in getting back on big water, and showing it can be done safely and successfully.
