Drove down to look at the lake last night right before dark. Lake is wide open as far as the eye can see. There was some floating ice moving around on the inside portion of the mouth. The north west wind pushed it all in the throat of the ditch, choking the throat. I think with that ice pushed in tight to the ditch that the warmer water of the ditch should take care of the floating ice.
Portage marina had the south slip open, and looks like the ice in the others was breaking up. Doynes should also be open.
I will try to check it again today and repost any changes if necessary. B)

Ditch is clear. No ice. Portage marina has one slip without ice. Saw one boat heading towards Gary light.

Got out this morning with nothing to show for it but the satisfaction of just getting out on the lake. Tried trolling for coho at Gary light then went to #4 for perch. A couple boats were getting coho casting around discharge at Gary light.
