Got the boat in this morning and took it out for the shake down trip. Went to Gary and fished for awhile. We went 2 for 3 on Coho and no problems with the boat. I'll take that every time!!!

Always a bonus to catch fish on a shake down trip. Looking to do mine in a few weeks also. Nice job! How were the water conditions?

Thanks Tim. The water clarity was not good. I had 35 surface temp.

Good job Bob. Nice to see you out there. We ended up with 4 coho. We missed at least 6. Man was it windy. Boat turned sideways at least 4 times. I think this was the first time I trolled at a 45 degree angle. I am exhausted.

Windy it was!!!!!!! After watching Kelliann and Plane to Sea catching a few I finally figured out a few baits that didn't stink.
Ended up with a 3 banger and got all 3 in. Had to clean up the mess and re-tie was blown out past Gary light by time I finished.
Worked back in and got 2 more on the next 2 passes. Felt good to get out for the shake down. Wind was crazy, made it a real challenge to fish by myself and handle everything. When the fish turned on I saw boats all around getting a little action. But they didn't stay hot for long.

Boat control was a challenge today Steve for sure. Nice job on that triple Ed!

A friend of mine was out this morning and they got the two man limit in like an hour. They were done before 8 AM. They were casting for Coho at the light.

Got out today at 630a. Caught 3 in the ditch (only one was legal size). Then went to the mouth of the Port of Indiana. Caught a 3 man limit out there. All trolling. Took awhile, but we got it done. Wind was whippin'!
