I am going to start out with a fishing public service announcement- Never leave your squid in your tackle bag. especially in a container that the lid has been dislodged.


We decided to try our luck casting first thing this morning at the discharge. This was not working out at all for us this time. Other boats around us were on them but not us. After a couple hours of washing jigs and squid we decided to pull anchor, head east and start a troll. Turned out to be the best decision we made all day and finished up 17 for 20. The usual was working; orange J-9s, J-11s, and red firetiger thin fins pulled behind planers.
