Got a kinda late start on the day, put in at the ditch hit one at the mouth. Trolled there for an hour or so and decided to troll to Gary light since that's were all the good action seemed to be. Hit one more on the way over trolled Gary for a while until the east winds started pushing the caps and rollers in. Pulled gear loaded the boat moved to MC to stay out of the wind and hopefully finish my limit. Not even a bump.... went 2 for 3 all day. The lesson I learned again is never leave fish to find fish.

That's a hard lesson to learn!! Lol

Ha - I think I have the opposite problem - I get one fish and keep pounding the same area when I should move on.

Big Ed: That's the problem with the plural of fish being fish. What the saying means is never leave fish(s) to find fish. I remember a day out of EC when we fished the length of the Inland wall without a bump. Then I made a wide turn to the east and trolled over a submerged hill about a half mile east of the second light. We were already talking about moving to somewhere else, but I caught a fish near that hill. So I circled back and caught another. Hmmmm...... Stuck it out and ended up with a limit. I love that little hill..... out there all alone.
