Supreme Court decision on The Dredd Scott case...

Not what I am referring to, but good one. Go back in time a bit, near two hundred years. While you guys are fishing now I get to sit at home and think about fishing while I am waiting for the boat I ordered to arrive. Since I cannot contribute on the fishing side of things maybe I can bore you with some history on this day. Hopefully things will fall together soon for me, as I like to contribute.

I take a shot at it. Too bad great great grandpa Trumpf wasn't wasn't there at "The Alamo". I don't care which side of the aisle you sit on, OUR country is a mess right now. The U.S. needs to get back to being US, we need some unity.

Kept reading, I see it's also the anniversary of the first day of the Rosenberg trial in 1951, eventually executed for treason as convicted RUSSIAN SPIES!!! Lot of interesting stuff has happened on March 6th.

Your the man Southshore. March 6,1836, the final day of the siege of the Alamo. The John Wayne movie was on and I could not help myself. For those who have never read the actual chronology of the 13 days, it is very interesting. The movies really stretch and bend the truth of the story. The actual end of the battle is disturbing to me. A small group of defenders including Crockett were captured by the Mexican army. Some of the generals pleaded for the lives of the survivors but Santa Anna gave them the finger and ordered them to be executed. Some reserves that did not take place in the battle were ordered to kill the remaining defenders with battle swords. He then ordered all the bodies to be burned in a big pile. You did not see any of that in the Wayne movie or the one with Fess Parker.
