There's got to be a good PG rated name for weather forecasts (and forecasters) who screw up their predictions so badly - and less than 24 hours out! I have several, often R and even X-rated terms for them. The bastids were calling for strong North winds and dangerous waves developing over night. So I called the people from Toledo early in the day so they didn't drive all the way over here for a no-go trip.

I checked the wind buoys and the live cam on this site this morning and came up with yet another @#$% term for their prowess. Would have been a great day.

Yea this morning looked pretty decent - this afternoon looks to be going downhill in a hurry.

This situation always sucks but better safe than sorry. I think most of the time the marine forecast is close. When it's supposed to be rough it's rough but sometimes they are way wrong. I think we have all lost trips on missed forecasts.

My whole adult life I wanted to tell the weather so if I mess up I still have a job the next day
