Just wondering if anyone has any updates on the marina as to when it will open or if it is open. Thank you in advance.

They're still saying Memorial Day. As of Thursday, they still haven't touched the launch area.

I took a ride out there on Thursday, May 18th.
I hope I'm wrong, but opening by the 26th as stated appears to be unlikely. It's still a construction zone. ,

A quick update for the coming Memorial Day weekend. I stopped in yesterday to check progress. Lots of work going on but lots of work left. It doesnt sound like everything will be finished by this wekend, but the port authority has stated that the marina will begin to drop stored boats in starting Thursday. The ramp is supposed to be open on Friday, but so far the old docks at the ramp are still there. I was told a few months ago those ramps are being replaced also. Lets keep our fingers crossed that the ramp will open and the weather straightens up! Be safe.

I just called the marina and talked to a guy named Richard. He says the ramps will not be open this weekend but they have hopes the ramps will be available by June 1st. We'll see......

Looked like 4 or 5 boats in slips this morning when I passed heading to the mill. Lots of equipment still around the launch area. I am not sure but visually it looks like there are not as many slips as prior to the remodel, may just be an optical misobservation on my part.

You're right on not as many slips. They went from 270 something to 140 something slips. Im stupified as to why they would not have the ramp open by tomorrow. Go figure. Im gonna take a drive up there tomorrow morn and see if the ramp is accessible. Ill post an update if by chance it is.

Worse come to worse, ill be putting in at Whiting.

That $20 a day parking fee at Whiting is kind of rough. I just am curious how crazy it will be compared to like Hammond or Portage.

I don't know but im guessing there will be a line of boats wherever we go. I have never put in at Whiting but i have a buddy who has gone in and out there. He did not mention a parking fee. I guess i'll find out in the morn.

Made it out there over the weekend but had to lie and cheat my way in. Marina is nice but not finished. Boats are in slips but ramp is closed unless u have a slip. I called today and they say the ramp will not be open for at least 2 weeks.
