Just curious if anyone else uses great lakes angler website. Seems they may have some serious issues, i get a big red warning page
of malware ahead. Been a long time subscriber as well, and doesn't seem to be any facebook activity for a month. Doesn't look good.

Their site has been hacked for quite some time. I would intermittently get redirected to a spam site randomly. Now it looks like google and other internet services has fully detected it and is warning people.

Though I'm now listed as the Associate Editor of Great Lakes Angler magazine, I have nothing to do with the website. Sad to say, I don't think anyone is in charge of it. I will send a note to the editor but don't count on anything happening soon.

GLA was started in 1999 or so by the same people who own Lakeland Boating magazine. Dave Mull became the editor of the magazine and provided input into the magazine's website. GLA always played second fiddle to LakeLand and eventually, Amato Publications bought the magazine, the website and kept Dave Mull on the payroll, but not as editor.

GLA an ugly stepchild, this time to other Amato Publication magazines and books. Mull tried to keep up but frankly, they didn't pay him enough to continue the amount of work demanded - if they paid at all. He left, I stepped in with eyes open but they haven't asked - and I wouldn't accept - any responsibilities for the website.
