I have an aluminum jon boat in which I took the rod holders off along with some accessories. The holes aren’t really hurting anything but would like to fill em in, patch/paint. Any recommendations of the easiest way to do this? Would like it to be tough, but in the end want to sand and paint. I’m going to be selling this boat and would like to patch er up. Thanks in advance.

Hey Gerry,
Here is a neat trick to patch up your boat. This stuff is a metal 2 part epoxy in stick form. All you do is cut a slice off the end and knead the compound together to mix and activate the epoxy. Easy to use and form patches and plugs and dries harder than hammered hell. I used to use it when working in power houses to repair air lines and coal handling piping for a fix until the pipe or the fitting could be welded shut or replaced. Very useful stuff for aluminum boats. You can find the stuff or similar material at larger hardware stores or at welding supply stores or online outlets.
