Wasn't sure where to post this on the forum, so if there is a more appropriate place feel free to move it.

Currently looking at a boat with twin outboards that are on an Armstrong engine bracket. Trying to figure out how the heck to net anything with some fight in it that you can't drag to the side of the boat without installing a safety harness on the back, particularly in less than ideal sea conditions. Calm seas shouldn't be an issue, plenty of real estate to stand and move around on the bracket between the transom and motors.

Hoping folks with twins OB's on extended transom / bracket can give some input as to what they do? I have a couple of the 6-9 ft. extendable handle Beckman nets, but even that looks like it could be a tough task to net anything off the back without stepping out to the bracket area.

my outboards are mounted directly onto the transom like a small boat. With its 9 foot beam I have space on both corners to net fish. As of now I have my riggers side mounted so I never have a rigger problem either. When I have a fish on that I really don’t want to lose on a tournament day or something I will stand in the splash well and net over the top of the outboards and bring the fish to the side if it’s heavy. Thanks for the info! That what I was calling an extended transom, where you have a good distance from the back wall of the cockpit area to the motors. Probably not the right term.

Looks like the gap you have there is about the same distance as I would be contending with, except it would be flat bracket area instead of a splash well.
