how many of you fish alone? I find myself fishing alone a decent amount. Its peaceful but sucks running 3 lines and not being able to brain storm with other on the water.

I have done it but not in a long time. Trying to land a big king by yourself is always fun too! Lol

I almost always fish solo. Most trips are spur of the moment and my family and fishing buddys need more heads up than the night before. With our weather patterns it’s usually hard to plan out a trip ahead of time. I say it keeps my skills sharp for when things get crazy. Call it lucky but both Kings for me this year were during solo trips.
Fish on!

Definitely in the same "boat" as you. When I can go ita usually to late to find a partner.

About half of my trips are solo either because I can't find someone last-minute or I just feel like being along on the lake. It's relaxing for me, but I've had a couple of trips when the lake turned angry quickly that made me nervous. I always tell my wife my plan for the day when I'm headed out alone just so someone knows where I'm supposed to be.

I feel like that is one of the most important things.

I text my wife when I launch and then when I'm heading home.

When u decide to go out on a solo run. Are u more or less caring about the weather? Myself, I don't go out alone if its any more then calling for 1 to 2 foot waves. If im with others. Thats a different story.

It seems like most the ppl that do solo runs is because of the short notice. Last minute problems like myself..

I fish alone with my two sons 11 and 6 somewhat alone!!! But I always factor weather first for the big lake anything more than two footers and a chance of storms I won’t go out.. I also don’t go off shore. I have a marine radio but within a mile off the port I usually don’t go out deeper, I usually switch primarily to inland lakes after they leave that 50 fow.. I work concrete so I usually have lots of early days or rain days n same thing with finding a last minute partner most of my friends NEED TO APPLY FOR A HALL PASS IN ORDER TO GO :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
