We stayed on this lake two years in a row a couple years ago. . Both times we stayed for the whole week and despite it being heavily stocked with Walleye we did not do to well at all. Most anyone I talked to caught a couple smaller eyes.. beautiful lake. Some of the best fishing up that way is the waterfall in fishtown. Which is maybe 20 minuets away super cool little town charter boats park in there a couple little restaurants but you can fish from the dock
You will want to fish right next to the restaurant below the waterfall ..My boys and I caught all kinds of smallies .. one of our favorite places to go.. good luck

I don't know if it's "time" but the ciscoe bite is supposed to be quite good in Traverse Bay. I know some are caught trolling but when the time is right, it's a good jig bite. I'm planning a trip in mid-September just for the ciscoes.
