Do you or anyone else have any idea where the first 27 boats were fishing? They must have been in a different place than the last 10 boats!

Planning our first trip this Wednesday and trying to decide where to go. Having see anything positive out of New Buffalo

I'll put a report up in a few min.

 Looking at the scoreboard can be misleading.  The majority of those 10 boats didnt come to the weigh in.  Some staying out fishing knowing they didnt have enough to compete, some had boat issues, some just decided to pack it up and go home.  Some came to the weigh in but didnt bother to weigh their fish because they knew it wasnt enough but still wanted to hang out and talk with everyone - which is the best reason to fish the tournament in the first place .  I love seeing everyone and have great conversation.  Aside from loving to compete, that is one of the primary reasons I tournament fish - comradery.

2nd - $668
3rd - $444

Yes, echoing what Jeff said. I don’t think those bottom 10 boats were truly skunked. Large majority of the boats went west out of portage. We went east and managed to get our nine coho for the weigh in and won big fish. So there are still plenty of fish everywhere it seems.
