If I'm reading it right it appears the spring tourneys are back to being out of Michigan City. I missed last years but I believe they tried allowing boats to leave from Portage and New Buffalo as well, at least for the Pro-Am? Also don't see any limits, other than state regulations, regarding the number of Lakers allowed. I'm assuming they're trying to keep interest up amid dismal King numbers last year and give guys a chance to compete in a weigh-in. Not all of us can fish off Navy Pier like last year. LOL. I'm planning on trying to do both weekends so if anyone has recommendations as to getting a transient slip in MC or just launching the boat the morning of, I would gladly welcome the input.

There is a decent launch right in the marina at mc. 2 or 3 ramps and a fish cleaning station along with about a 2 min ride to the lake. Also there is a launch a litte further up trail creek but if I remember correcrly it usually opens later in the morning.

We normally use the ramp
at Washington park but have used the ramp on trail creek but takes longer to get to lake. The municipal marina also has transient slips which is what we normally do. As far as the location from which you can leave last year I believe it was only the pro/am that you could leave out of different ports not the classic and as far as the lake trout you can weigh 5 lake trout for your 5 fish for the pro/am but for the classic only 5 out of your 10 can be LT. Hope this helps guys they are both great tournaments and a lot of fun!

For the pro am and classic all boats must leave from Michigan city. KickR is right about what u can weight 8n for both the pro am and the classic. I am getting the prices for a slip sent to me, hope to have them by the end of the day.
