Merry Christmas everyone, hope you and yours have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Going to try to get out this morning for a Christmas fishing day. The south ramp at Portage looked open and Doynes has 1 ramp clear, so will be packing things up shortly and getting out for a few hours. Fingers crossed!!!!!!

On another note a friends father caught a 12 lb brown at the port last week from shore.

AS good as it felt to get out it sure would of felt better battalin a couple of browns. Not to be the case. wind in the morning was still NNW. A little choppier then expected but that didn't keep the duck hunters from getting out.

The ditch was 38 to 40 depending on where you were, and lake was 33. Some decent bait around the mouth and water clarity was good. Just nothing working for us. There was a gang of fellas casting in the ditch area across from the northern most discharge at the midwest plant. Didn't see anything caught but heck I'm sure they were having a good time just getting out.
Anyone do anything????

We didn't take any perch stuff with us but there were perch straight out in 20-25ft. To choppy for us to check around the 4 marker. Sure would of liked to get down to the discharge at Gary. Might be the last rip for us for 2016 but with the way the weather is going who knows.
The cement walkway pier is all iced up not sure but do they close that off at this time of year?
