The first ever Portage Outdoor Show will be this weekend (Feb 25/26) at the Portage High School. I think it's in a building called the coliseum. I'll be there, a few other captains and other vendors and displays.

Stop on by for a visit.

I should have mentioned there will be several seminars each day on salmon and trout fishing. I'm doing spring cohos. Other groups, as I recall, are doing pier fishing, maybe laker fishing, maybe some stream stuff, I don't remember the whole line-up.

There's probably some source to find out. If anyone knows it, please post.

The turnout for the show on Saturday was better than I hoped. Certainly wasn't packed, but a good number of people came through the door. It looked sparse since the colosseum is so huge. Those of you who came and stopped by, thanks. Good to see you again or meet up.

Show runs 9 to 5 today, but will probably start breaking up mid-afternoon. There is a concession stand. ITO Flies and Seacrest Lures each have giant booths with plenty of products for the big lake.
