Left the house a little late this morning, but got to st.joe at about 545 Michigan time, on the Water by 6:15. I set up in 65 feet of water heading Northwest from the pier heads. Marked fish and bait everywhere, but didn't get a bump until about 8:15, not sure why? Slow at the beginning, but then action came in spurts. I ended up with three Cohos and 2 Steelhead in the Box. I lost two other high-flying steelhead on 10 color that put on quite a show before they decided to get loose. 5 Lakers on a garbage can and white and pink Spin and glow that I left on the bottom because action was slow. Even got a little dink laker on a 2 color with a magnum orange crush???? Everything else came on various UV Magnum spoons on 10 to 5 color Lead Core. Didn't seem to be any pattern that I could determine. West troll was definitely better than any other direction. Off the water at 1:15 because it took me forever to get that last Coho to make my limit. Now I'm sitting in Fourth of July vacation traffic lol a lot of Charter guys were trolling the pier heads, and everyone seemed to be catching a lot of fish, especially steelhead. No Kings for me today, but I did see some at the fish cleaning station that were pretty nice. Two of the Cohos were absolutely stuffed full of 7 or 8 nice-sized alewives, not sure why they even bother to take a swipe at a spoon passing by LOL
