So my old neighbor (who may register on here some day ) got a place on West Twin Lake in northern Michigan a few years ago. With the long winters, he started getting into ice fishing. He calls me up - says lets hit the cabin for the weekend. So off I go - my first time ice fishing as I have never been much interested in the damn cold. Target species was Walleye and Perch. What I learned is:
1) life in a tent is pretty nice
2) Tip ups are valuable
3) GPS and lake maps are invaluable!
4) Sonar is invaluable!
5) Drill til you find the fish

Well we never really found the fish but had a good time looking. Here are some pics:

I guess a bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work.
