A little late but really busy last week with work and moving preparations. Anyway made another trip to the Platte with my son for a father son fishing weekend and though it was slow we faired pretty well for the two days. 6-10 on Saturday all Coho and 3-4, 1 King 2 Coho, on Sunday morning in a couple hours before heading back south. Nothing I would say as conventional for the area but had some Thin Fish working as well as Clatter Tads Saturday. Sunday seemed to be a plug, and SD/Fly bite for what we could manage. Found some active fish right before running out of time to take the two Coho and make it a respectable day as most boats were reporting 1's and 0's for the morning. The fish are pretty heavy in the rivers right now as the kid and his buddy went 16 for 30 something in two days with some fresh fish mixed in, so I am thinking most of the boat fishing is done. Final move set for this weekend, then I guess I am an out of towner visiting for some fishing now and then. Its been great fishing with you guys the past 15 yrs and if you want to venture North keep me in mind for a source of local Mi info as I have been for Portage and Southend over the years.

We have been moving a few things into the horse barn while the previous owners have been getting things ready for their move south. So we have been spending a little time there when we can and so far this is my favorite picture I have taken. Sunset at Dark Timber Ranch, taken from the dock over looking the west side of our pond.
