Left home at sunrise, headed for Erie. On the Ferry boat at 11, on the island and boat in the water. Beautiful weather. Caught fish east of the islands at a steady pace and had our 24 fish limits cleaned by sundown.
Second day, windy so we tucked in between Middle and North Bass. The fish loved it and we even added a couple of gaspergoos to the catch. Not quite lunch time with our limit was reached so we switched to mini-cranks and trolled 8 to 10 feet of water and beat up on some smallmouths and added a few more gaspergoos to the cooler.
Made gaspergoo nuggets for dinner and had another Great Day.
Mostly crankbaits, I did have one spoon out and it caught it's share.

Awesome cannot wait to get there next week! How is the launch ramp? Is it ankle deep water on the pier?

Actually, we found the yacht club and launched there all week. Usually a bit of water on the road, but we'd just put one guy in the boat, back in, start the motor and then slider it off. Easy parking, that's the main thing. State park ramp is open and plenty of ttrucks and trailers there. Limited amount of parking around the park- the vacant lot a couple blocks to the south is roped off. Only $10 per day at the Yacht Club.

Killed 'em 3 days running in the channel between Middle and North Bass Island. Funny thing, we were the only boat there! We started just north of Rattlesnake Island today for a change of sceneryl We were tossing back anything less than 20 inches and still limited out by 9AM. Caught a couple dozen smallmouth trolling around S.Bass in 10 FOW.

Thanks for the info, Mike. I will be heading to Erie tomorrow morning and staying a few days. Hopefully those fish are still there and the other boats aren't! Fishing in those packs on Erie can sure be stressful at times..

Me and my buddy “Tin Star” fished Erie last weekend and caught a couple days worth of limits of 20+ inch fish. Targeted the S.E side of Kelley’s and pulled bandits.
Fish on!

Awesome! Just got home tonight and the fish were right where Bro Nature said they were. And many other places as well. Pretty crazy how many fish are in that lake. We ran stinger spoons behind small divers and 3oz weight. Worked great at 2.5-3.2 mph. I like running faster than most and spoons allow this.
