TOPIC:

Went up to Erie for our spring trip,my brother and buddy accompanied me. First 2 days we tried jigging for them right out in front of Bessie. We did okay- the 15-20 mph west winds pushed me too fast. My buckets were not enough to slow me down enough. Drift socks will be on order. We pulled only 9 and 6 fish on respective days. The next 2 days we crushed them trolling the south passage. Easy 3 man limit Friday which had 12 mph sw winds. Saturday we got blown off early went back midday to get 12 nice ones before mother nature said your done.  At least I know the boat can handle some big water as we found ourselves in 3 and 4's with whitecaps and 20 mph+ winds. My buddy Jose had big fish at 30" 9.5 lbs.

Great thing is the new boat performed great, I have everything dialed in finally, Lowrance  autopilot was real nice, Carbon 16 with Airmar tm150 was great and the Drotto made loading a breeze.
