Our Huron, Ohio trip was cut short when "the gales of November came early" but the three days we were able to get out provided us with some of the nicest fishing weather anyone could want. And the water's off Huron, Ohio served up an ample amount of walleyes, most of them were big ol' gals. (Most walleyes over 4 pounds are females.)  I was testing some new colors of some tried and true lures and a couple were standouts on this trip.
One was Suspending Bandits in what is called the Blue Back Black Stripe color and the other was Livingston Lures' EBS Walleye 90 in a pattern called Blue Tiger.  Flicker Shads and Flicker Minnow were solid.

Love fishing the Huron area, looks like you guys had a good trip.

Did you launch from Huron or another spot Mike? Was very impressed with the Huron Launch site. Nearby gas station also pumps no lead fuel.

The Huron Public Launch is very good, but with the great weather and good fishing, it was a madhouse of activity. At the current time, there's no fish cleaning station there but one is under construction. We launched at Holiday Harbor just upstream a bit (like from Portage marina to Doynes) and avoided the crowds. I think there's a couple other private launches, as well.

I have fished that area for quite a few years. We stay at the comfort inn right on the river next to the ramp. Across the parking lot is a marina, we keep our boat in the water for the week that we are there. $55 for a week, can’t beat it. Once in once out and you beat the crowds in the morning heading out to the lake no waiting at a ramp. Good food at the bar next to the hotel. So you don’t even have to get back in your truck after you park your trailer.
