TOPIC:

Arrived at the hallowed grounds of lake Erie on on the Evening of April 11th to fish for four days - the 12th thru the 15th. We couldn't ask for better weather in April. We stayed at Magee East campground. It was blowing 20 mph from the West on our first day so we stuck to jigging out in front of Turtle Creek. Only had to run out to 12 ft. We jigged up our 3 man limit then fun fished for awhile. Caught about 30 total. My brothers were using hair jigs - Purple and Green were hot, while i stuck to blade baits. Couldn't ask for a better start.
The next three days saw the wind go down to 13, 9 and 6 from the SW,S,and SE. You can't get much better than that. Decided to troll out North of B can. Three straight days of limits running Bandits on boards.I also threw a Deadeye in my spread and it caught plenty of fish. 2 of the 3 days were very sunny so it was alot of chrome lures.
Blue Chrome, Gender reveal,chrome fruitdots, carrot top were some good ones. On the hazy day, we subbed in an IB frozen and a Wild Thing with great success. The Deadeye was a blue chrome with darker blue side stripes. We ran 75-100 back 1.7- 2.0 mph.
It was a great trip, 72 big walleyes coming back to our freezers, the boat performed perfectly. Never had to charge the new 100ah Dr Prepare lithiums- about 18 hrs of runtime and still at 65%.
Boat ran real good with the lighter bow- 17p Rev 4, 3 260lb plus guys, all loaded up I hit 48 mph at 6k wot, 4k cruise was 30 mph.
This trip is what dreams are made of.

Wow! Fantastic trip! Congratulations! Thanks for sharing! I'm starting to think I need to start fishing lake Erie instead of lake Michigan.

Hey Trent if you haven't experienced Erie you have to go.  It's in its prime right now.
