After the general failure last night, I just could not help but get out again. Off to Slez's to get minnows and we were on our way and fishing by 4pm. We had time to search and hunt. Immediately got on fish, but alot of dinks with the occasional keeper mixed in. By 6:30 we had to make the decision.....leave fish to find fish? We did and it paid off. Immediately we got 12 inchers constantly. Then the storm rolled in and we went from flat to 3 footers in 5 minutes. We got in and beat out the storm with our 2 man limit. Was hoping to cull more, but are plenty happy with the bounty.

Nice catch.

Saw on the news this morning they lost a few boats in Chicago yesterday when the storm rolled in. From the pictures it looked like around the Crib and had a couple boats beached also. Getting caught is no fun and can turn bad fast out there as most of us know. Glad you made it back safe, be careful out there guys and gals, always watch the weather and know your limitations.

Sounds like a 60ft went down around the Waukegan area. But it might have been a fog issue more then the waves but wow thats a big boat.

Apparently a boat ran into the wall at east Chicago yesterday killing 2.
They always run into the breakwall in ludington a couple times a year, hadn't ever heard of one running into the wall at EC
