Skin off. Quicker, easier and scaling makes too big a mess.

I have a tumble drum scaler. Smaller fish I throw In the scaler. Big fish I cut the skin off. Love the skin on smaller fiss.

Skin off....we try to release anything under 9” unless the hook was buried in their gut. I find the fillet to taste better when the skin is removed and it is pretty easy on bigger fish.

I feel quite strongly about skin on.......however big perch (11+) not so much. Great Lakes style (almost) all the way!
