Ramps were a zoo in and out, but the juice was worth the squeeze. Lake was beautiful and fishing was productive. We fished East, never found the mother load but caught perch from 12fow right on the beach out to 40fow. Minnows on dropshots and jigging spoons, kastmasters and cleos did work. Had a couple steelies join the party which was fun.

Sorry for the late report... but there's not much to say that everyone doesn't already know! We pounded limits too, 4 days in a row this weekend: it was some of the best perch fishing I've seen in a long time. We were right along the beach outside the mouth with the rest of the boats, but we moved a lot more then most and tried to find pods. It was weird: a lot of these fish are biting late morning and not super early like you would think. The good news is the size: tons of solid 10-13 inch fish, with very little sorting. The amount of bait on the graph was impressive.

On a side note soutshore, the amount of steelhead around are amazing too: I heard fellow southenders Kellyann Bob and Gary undercover on the radio just killing them trolling! Sounded like one boat had 11 hook-ups by 7 a.m.

Nicely done! I'm imagining the hot bite is continuing, an awful lot of boats just west of the Ditch this morning, and a smaller pack by the Donut.

Glad to hear there's some good sized fish showing up.
