Going out of EC tomorrow am for perch will post. I’m not a regular perch fisherman need a place to start. Hole in the wall or Gary light. Any info would be helpful???

I would go to Portage Dale 

I would suggest Portage as well, launch at Portage Marina ($10 I believe still?), then it’s just a ride down the ditch and out to the lake, from there, either head west just west of the mouth and the pier and try 18-30 ft of water (a little shallower and a little deeper if no luck in that general range), seems to be a early bite or a late bite. Or you can head east out of the ditch and run the outside of the break walls until you get to the donut, which is a ring shaped water intake along the beach east of the Port of Indiana. Fish the same general depth range, but I would try closer to 30-35 ft or so give it take. The perch used to come in by EC but that seems to be a thing of the past the last several years. I would try large fatheads or baby roaches on a crappie/perch rig or a drop shot rig just off the bottom. Hope this helps if not familiar with the Portage area, but I really hope you get on some fish, let us know how you do and be safe out there.

Dude I know been out of portage a lot of times know area well. Taking my daughter and the ramp at portage is going to be a zoo on a Saturday just trying to avoid that headache. Might start at Gary light and work east toward burns

State park area east has been hot too.

Decided to go out of portage. Tried to run down to donut but boat started to run hot shut it down. Then idle a slow speed back to mouth temp came back down to normal. Fished west of mouth for couple hrs got 3 smalls. Tried to run again temp would stat to climb so called it a day! Either a thermostat or impeller I hope?????
