Went out for the first time this fall to check out some of the spots, checked 87th, 89th (north and south slips), and the mouth of the river, marked some bait and some larger fish chasing it, plus some bait balls on the bottom or maybe perch but almost leaning towards bait because our bait, minnows and shrimp, went untouched. Water temps in the slips and the mouth of the Calumet were around 54 degrees or so, the water clarity is pretty chalky, can’t wait until they are in. Just wanted to give an update on the current conditions and I hope everyone is doing well. Edit: accidentally posted in wrong board, should be in the perch forum.

I gave it a try this morning with the same results. Fished in the Turning Basin near Crowleys - better water clarity and more perch marks on the graph….one 11” perch and a couple nibbles. Water temp was 52.
