2 year member.  Never posted.  Always fish New Buffalo and was thinking about MC this weekend for first time.  Was told $45 to launch in MC. Is that accurate?



 

Trail Creek Marina was 15 last weekend. Pretty sure Washington Park launch is close for some reason this weekend. They kill you there on launch fee and then a separate parking fee.

I believe $15 is correct at Trail Creek.   $100 for annual ramp pass.

Jet ski races… I’m actually glad it’s my Saturday to work! Should be fine west of the harbor, but Washington park ramp is closed.

I called earlier this year and I was told that Trail Creek launch was $10.00 but they may have changed it. Fishing out of Washington park you are better of with seasonal pass in my opinion.

Worked out great. 1st boat there and 2nd boat behind me was very helpful with process and even some fishing suggestions. And what was interesting was the experience on water. After reading the combat thread, I was a bit concerned. We fished west of pier out in front of the large sandy beach area. 2 boats came near us (I have no problem telling someone if we are doing well) and ended up having great fishing chats with both. One old timer even had a live scope and he says to me “hey, throw your bait about 35 feet in front of your boat. There is a huge school. 3 tosses, 3 fish). I told him he was more than welcome to move there as we were a few from our limit. They were also so he didn’t.
Also, early in the day, a boat 100 feet or so from us was pulling them in 1 after another. He was fishing alone and as we made eye contact, he motions us over after he got to 15. Thought that was cool.

That's awesome! That's what fishing is all about In my opinion. Good times, good fishing, good people! What more can a fisherman ask for!

Posted on NB thread that last Friday was a bust. Thinking about MC Tuesday or Wednesday. Buddy went to NB Saturday ALL day and 2 fish. Any one heard any optimism? Temps still look good and now 3-4 days after the rough up last week.
