Got out Monday before taking a (looks like hopefully) fairly brief break from the lakefront. Started and ended in the first turnaround basin, started out slow but caught a couple keepers. Then ran to the 106thish area by where the metal piles and salt are at. Started catching almost immediately, picked up several more keepers and a ton of smaller fish, it was a fish every drop for a little bit. Even though everyone wants to catch the bigger ones (me included), it's great to see so many smaller fish ranging from 4-5 inches to just under keeper size present. Between three of us, I caught 11 keepers, my two partners Lund and Janet caught 18 keepers or so combined, but they were all decent fish. Hoping the mild forecast for the end of next week holds to be true and can get another round of perching in. Hope everyone has been having a decent holiday season and let's all catch some more fish in 2023!
