Thinking about heading out on Thursday. We will probably go out of Pastrick. This will only be my second trip out. Will anyone else be around and any suggestion on where to go? Hope it is ok to post this here.

There are some tools that you can use right here on this site that will be good to get to know. Under the weather section, there is a great tool showing water temps. both surface and actual temps down to 60ft. at the Michigan city bouy. Start to use that and look for that cold water as it is always moving in and out. Strong southerly winds will pull cold water that is along the bottom in tighter to shore, and the stiff northerly wind in summer works just the opposite. If you can find good cold water and bait you will probably find the fish. Now the twist to what I just said. The fish are used to feeding out of temperature range. So many times the fish are forced into a little warmer water then they normally like, but they gotta eat. Full bellies, and they will move down into a more comfortable water temperature.

I am heading out of portage going to head towards wreck not gonna get out until after work. Let us know how you do good luck!

Is the wreck you guys talk about the Louisville or the David Dows on the Lake Michigan Topo Map in the resources on here?

Louisville - at least thats what I always refer to. Hope I am not wrong lol.

I hope they did not move out further after that wind last few days....
