First I want to say thanks to everyone who posts on TSE to help out fellow anglers. It really helps when I'm trying to make the most of my few trips to the big lake each year.

My friend and I launched out of NB at about 08:00 and got some advice from a good guy in a 21 Triton that chartuse and green where the ticket. We set lines just north of the harbor with a mix of colors and baits and covered 25-35 fow. Took two on the same green speck thin fish so we started switching out orange baits to all green. Ended up 10/11 at 11:30. All fish came at 28-32'. I forgot one of my coho bait boxes so we had to get creative. Old stick baits with any sort of green on them and even two J-plugs, glow with green backs, took fish. Ran 2.6-3.0 for speed and the fish wanted changing speeds so we zig zagged a lot. Both the fast side and slow side inspired bites.
Stopped at ClearH2O on the way home to get some more of what I wish I had...

It was a great time, we definitely had to think outside the box on colors, but hey Adam is the king at making baits work that shouldn't work lol, good job buddy, now let's keep it going until the brown blast

The brown blast is a small tournament out of St Joe, it is the 14th annual event and is sponsored by ClearH2O tackle out of Edwardsburg. It will be on Saturday April 22nd this year. Great group of guys and a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. My boat will be there!
