My partner Mike and I took our boat Hooked Up to Racine WI to compete in the week long Salmon-A-Rama. The marina was very nice and most fisherman we talked to were helpful and made us feel welcome at their Port. Fishing was tuff to say the least. When we arrived the surface temps were 60 degrees inland which was hard to believe being from the southend. Depending on the day we caught fish in 30fow to 270fow. Meat rigs and Moonshine spoons did most the damage for us. We definitely wasn't use to fishing the hills as they call it. It would go from 50 to 18 as quick as you took your eyes off the graph. We were amazed with the Brown fishing. Big Browns. The biggest we got was a 16lb but many over 20 were caught. The biggest king we got was around 19lbs while catching a few more in the mid teens. The big fish of the tournament was a 33lb king with a lot of 25lb plus fish caught. Here are a few of the pics from the week. The one pic shows one of many monster bait balls we saw. You can also see the 56 degree water temp.

Hell of a job. It seems as fishing that side of the lake is a whole different animal than south and east.

Great looking fish. I really like the big brown. They are a hoot to catch. Looks like a fun trip with your friends.
