Went north of the harbor up toward the dunes. 6 lines in by 7:30. Worked 65fow to 88fow until about 11am as we marked several bait stacks and a lot of fish in this area. Only a drive by on a 7 color for our efforts. Started heading deeper and got a nice King in 95fow on a spoon on DR at 67' down. Nothing until 1:30 pm after that. We hit 130fow and caught another king that was close to 15# on a F/F on DR 74' down. We landed 3 more lakers on the same 2 rods and lost another king on a wire diver (F/F) out 180 all in the same area. Then the bite died again. We quit at 2:30pm. Ended 5 for 7. Figured it might be a slow day after the blow and it was, but we did manage to get a couple nice fish.

Real nice job. The morning bite was almost non existent. Sounds like we should of stayed out longer but the fiance was getting anxious to pull lines and go swimming.

Way to hang with it on a slow bite. Last time I went out of NB two weeks ago, we marked a bunch of fish in about the same depth you described. I thought for a minute about going up there yesterday (7/30), but considering my recent catch rates and the previous days' weather, I decided to stay home and work on getting a pair of downriggers ready to install on my boat.

I found a guy selling a pair of old Lil Harold manual downriggers without bases for $20 for the pair on Craigslist. They even had new wire. So I picked them up, made a pair of bases and I'm wrapping up the last coat of polyurethane on a board I will use to mount then to the boat. Next time I come up to the big lake, I'll be able to go deep.
