Stealth fishing (i.e. no downriggers) aboard friend's perch boat 7:30-10 a.m.
Three for five (2 kings, 1 brown) on first pass from Condo to Cooling Tower in 50-55'. Pulled lines due to waves and motored back for redo. Zero bites next pass...and the next pass in 40-45'. No hits for last 1.5 hours. All four spoons took hits on first troll, caramel Slim on 125' copper was bit twice.
Going back out with Coho Club Smolt's outing at 4 p.m

They should be - lots of alewives still on beaches. But, who knows anymore? Seems to be a lot fewer salmon around than use to be which has led to a lot of here today/gone tomorrow fishing this spring,
Coho Club Smolts are out right now (blown off yesterday, and I have a meeting I need to get tp), so should get a good report later. Two boats out this afternoon - one had six fish to the west. other limit of 14 coho and a brown in 20-30' east of harbor.

One boat caught five (4 coho and a 10-lb Skamania), other just one coho in about three hours of trolling. The five were caught in front of breakwall, the other trolled to the northwest and ended up in 70' without action.
Still, the youth were extremely enthusiastic just to get on a boat. Club had 20 Smolts and four boats lined up for Wed/., but just two boat's worth could make on short notice.

Fished 5/22 condo to the rockpile, one pass short trip, 7:30 to 9:30, 0 for 0, no bumps, 25 to 50 feet.

I didn't hear anyone else happy.

Did a mid day trip on 5/22 out of MC. It was windy, cold and pretty rough. Went 0-1 with the 1 hitting when pulling lines at 5:30. Probably would have picked up closer to sunset, but we were cold and had enough. Trying in the am and prepared to go offshore if things are still slow near the pierhead.
