Fished this morning by my self. Slow going, not much bait around but I stayed in close. Ended up with 4 coho, 1 king around 8lbs. and had 2 very small kings which went back in. Worked from 30ft. out to 45ft. and back with 25 - 30 down best depth. All super slims spoons. Never had a hit on a slider today. Fished were stuffed full with bait.

Kinda slow for us also, picked a coho up near the 4 marker and another east of the donut. Both came on a dipsy with dodger and fly. Didn't fish too long, had to be in by 9:30. Still marking bait and both fish were full of alewives.

Slow day fishing is still better than a day at the job. Good to hear you got a few. Sounds like not many others are taking silver fish home right now. Hopefully the weather will be better next weekend as I would like to come up and fish again.

I don't call 5 fish in the box too slow. I'll bet with one guy trying to net, reel and steer seemed like doubles. Great job !

Got out yesterday (5/29) with Northwoods2325 and his two boys. He took his boat out for a shakedown trip to work out the kinks with one kid and I took the other on mine. Got on the water by about 3pm. For the most part this was his first trip salmon fishing and I think he is hooked! He brought in all the fish and learned some valuable lessons on controlling the fish in close and getting them to the net ;) . He was a pro by the end of the day.

We went 7 for ?? Lost 3 large kings at the net. Ended the day with 3 coho and 4 kings, best being 15 lbs. We got off the water at about 7pm as some storms were finally going to hit us. Plus the wind and waves were becoming a real PIA.

We worked the pavillion to the donut. Mixed Veggie and NBK did the bulk of the damage on a SWR down 25 and Dipsy (3 setting out 70. Worked 45-55'.

I guess salmon have same taste in food we humans have. Mixed veggies, mac and cheese, watermelon, and a lemon ice for dessert. It is great to get kids involved in the whole aspect of fishing. They learn quickly and I believe the saying about taking your kids hunting and fishing and keeping them from trouble.
