Had a pretty good trip on Thursday north of the tristate lines. Fished in 90 plus feet and caught a nice steelie and a coho. Got a radio call from Hooked that faster fishing was better in 115 plus so we picked up and sped near his boat. Set lines and caught our last 8 in about an hour or so. North and south troll at 2.5 mph was good. Fished baits from 25 to 45 down. Dodgers and flies and tuna super baits were on fire. The cottonwood was a back breaker though. A constant battle on long lines and boards. Only remedy was using riggers and dipsies. Dipsies set on 2.5 and down 60 and 75 feet. I had the riggers down 25 and 35 feet and back 35. The tuna bait colors were “Mountain Dew” and “She and I” which is a strange name for a color pattern. Here is a hero shot and a lure pic.

Awesome job Don glad you had some success with your trip up here. Sorry I did not call you back I was visiting with my grandfather who is having open heart surgery Tuesday morning.
It's better to ask forgiveness than for permission.

It was great talking with you on the radio. Nice job on the fish. I cant believe how bad that cotton wood was.

Thanks again. Yes that cottonwood was worst I have ever seen. I had clumps big as a tennis ball. Stuff cost me at least a dozen fish trying to free up the lines. Good the fish were active.
