TOPIC:

Took my nephew out for the Hoosier Coho Club first annual Kids Classic tournament today along with his dad and grandfather. Fearing the silver on our side of the lake were widely scattered we setup at trout speeds, and hoped for some silver. We went 11 for 16 or so. The kid reeled in every fish and his arms were burnin! We managed a few silver bites but not much. Had a big king rip on a spin doctor w/ white fly on a 300 copper, screemed drag for 20 seconds and gone before we got to feel the fish. Else just some lake trout on riggers with dodger / spin n glows and a few coho. Trash can with both pink / white and green glow spin n glow. It was tough out there, not only with the scattered fish but flat lake and blue jay skies. Kid managed to grab second though, which is exciting, its his first time out there and it was his birthday to boot!

Congrats to you and your nephew again! What a great tournament for the kids! I My son and his buddy had a blast.. it was really tough out there for us one coho and lost 3.
When you say lake trout speed how fast is that? I can honestly say we have never caught a lake trout ... Never the less congrats again!

Heck yeah, I love to see the actual fish fight pics. Neat seeing the fish in the water. I need to do more of that but it always seems to get overlooked.

I think the only reason we even had pictures is because my father in law was aboard. I am so bad about taking pictures because I get too focused on everything else I guess lol. I am going to need to have him on board more often I think.
