Had a really early bite today in 90 to 110 fow . Had lines in before sun up and shortly after we had a double on with kings. 1 on ten color bloody nose mag. 1 on 150 copper white luhr jenson westport wobbler. 150 copper fish freaks out and crosses 10 color fish and we lost copper fish but land a solid king ( stocked). Next up was a rip on a wire diver aetting 2 back 140 green pro troll and blue fly and we lost him thinking the dipsey didnt pop so we gave it a quick yank and snapped it off..mhad to be a 10000 lb laker. Next was a 24 inch coho on orange crush slider main rigger down 45...this fish had a 7 inch alewive in its mouth still. (See pic) landed another coho shorty after on a braid dipsey setting 2 out 110 wonder break pro troll and blue fly. Landed another coho on the same 10 color setup and lost a few more during the day.

4 for 6 or 7 and nothing after 9 am really.

Nice fishing. I opted not to go to the big lake this morning and really wishing I had. Glad to see someone out and catching.

yes i was out on the small lake for about 45 minutes when the sun broke through and I knew it was going to stay nice for a while. One of these days I am going to learn to just ignore the weatherman all together. Lake Michigan reports have not been great around here and with me with limited gear was not sure I wanted to venture out. After today I know I have the Salmon bug - really was kicking myself for not going out.
