Hello All, Steve here and NEW to the site.
Nice pic,s with big smiles. What settings do you use to get that clear of screen ? Looks like a Ho at 10 and the thermocline at 45 and a nice arch at 80 or so. But on mine it always shows noise even if I bring up the lower limit?

I don't think that is a thermocline at 45 ft. That looks like his downrigger ball under and behind his boat. I fooled with my settings trying to improve the views. All I did was make them worse. I set everything back to factory defaults and seems to work best for me. Welcome to the site.

yea thats definitely his downrigger ball. No thermocline is setup yet. Would really have to turn up the sens to see the thermocline once it sets up, and would likely show a much thicker response as well.

That is my downrigger ball at 45 down. We have the sensitivity turned up pretty high and can usually see all of our riggers. We just use the default view but the unit we have its brand new and up there in price. Humming bird 899 ic or ci something like that. All those marks on the bottom was bait mixed in with fish...lasted quarter or a mile or more it was amazing.

Thanks Tim ,I too just got a new one the smaller Less money Helix Di and it is the first color Di unit I have ever own. With only two trips with it still trying to understand every thing. And that makes sense there is no thermocline yet and it would show up a lot wider. Thanks
