I was just pondering the same question: SW wind tonight moving to WSW overnight. I'm going with Portage just for the better chance of lighter waves for my little boat.

Might think about East Chicago too... with a mainly westerly component Saturday, the inland wall there should to shelter a decently sized area

Same drive time from Terre Haute to pretty much any of the Lake Michigan ports...Michigan City likely being a few minutes extra over the others

It's really cranking out there right now out of the SW

I was just looking at the forecast and thinking maybe I'd let the winds die down a bit as they're supposed to do by late afternoon and head over to Portage for an afternoon run. I'm currently solo, so I'm putting out the bat, I mean salmon signal to my fishing friends to see if anyone else is free to go. I suppose heading over for a morning troll to the east wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility either. Too many decisions. Wouldn't be so tough if I didn't live 2+ hours from the lake AND only have an 18-foot boat.

If you get out hit me up on the radio (68). I will let you know what I found if I am still out on the water.
