Lines were in the water at 5:30 and pulled them out at 8:00 due to worsening weather. Ended up 7 for 11, all cohos. Red dodger/black fly took most of the hits while fire tiger Brad's and red/black Brad's picked off a few as well. Speed was tough to control but sticked around 2.4 mph. Water was 48 degrees. Fish were coughing up smelt and we were marking a lot of bait. Our first year on the big lake is turning out pretty well.

Yes it was rough! Stuck it out till 10 . Went 10 for 14 but unlike you we caught them on everththing. Could not narrow it down. Most were caught before the first light. Lots of bait there!

good going on your catch. Hard to believe, the fishing was actually slow compared to the previouis few days. FYI, the bait is alewives, not smelt.
