With the nice break in the weather decided to get some trips in.
5/4 was an afternoon trip with my uncle. Trolling motor remote battery died and that hampered things. I used my kicker as main propulsion and steered using main motor as a rudder. Not a desirable setup but that's all i could do. Only ran 4 lines do to limited decent boat control, 2 thin fins 2 dodger/flies. Went 3 for 4 all on dodger fly
5/5 Went out with my brother ,set lines at 9:30 . All dodger fly this time. Went 10 for 10 ,single pass from first light to out in front of inland a bit. Done by 11. Didn't have all six lines for more than 10 minutes, and had my first triple, real fun chaos.
5/6. Took one of my buddies out that's new to trolling and salmon fishing. Ran same program as Saturday and had same results. 10 for 12 , one pass and a return and our limit was complete in 2 hours fished 9 to 11.
Being new to coho fishing, this has been a blast. Definitely will be doing this every year.
