Took the day off to take my mom out for her first time fishing on my boat. She gave me a good bit of help getting the boat fixed up when I first bought it a few years ago, so it was a long overdue trip.

Started setting rods at about 8:30 am. Got a couple of decent kings early on that she got to fight, so she was pretty happy. It wasn't fast action for us, and we only had 4 in the box at 1:30 after loosing a few fish and wandering around a while trying to get bit. We had pushed out further NNW from the lighthouse at this point to see if we would mark anything, but notta. Decided to make one more pass back in 50-60 FOW westbound down the dunes. All hell broke loose when we got to to 55 FOW. It was hard to keep rods in the water after the first double! Finished out our 10 fish limit by the time we got down to the rocks at the end of Central Beach.

Ended the day with 7 kings and 3 coho. Biggest king was 16.4 something lbs.

Changed out colors quite a bit trying to get a bite going. 150' copper with a mag green dolphin took a decent king and a coho and lost one or two other fish. Slim double orange crush on a rigger slider took a few hits, only got one coho in the box from that though. Mag UV watermelon spoon on rigger cycling 35 - 40 ft. ended up being the top producer on that last pass, taking 3 fish. Big king came on a mag green dolphin running running 45. Mussel head meat rig behind an 8 inch green pro troll echip dodger on a dipsey took one of the better kings (my second trip ever running meat, first fish on it!). 8" spindoctor with fly on other dipsey took another good king. Last fish of the day was a small but legal coho that I would have rather released, however it decided to crush a mag spoon on a slider and put one of the barbs of the hook through his eye socket... knowing he would not make it, that ended up being our 10th fish.

Beautiful day on the lake!
