When you ask your wife what she wants to do Wednesday evening and she says, "Can we go fishing?", you hook up the boat and take off before she changes her mind!
We headed straight north from Portage, set up lines in 65' and headed NW to see what might happen. First bit of excitement, the cable on my starboard downrigger snapped off sending my "good" ball to the bottom of the lake. So, with one 'rigger, we ran out three lead lines, two dipseys and the port downrigger. Ended up 3 for 4 over the next 2 hours before the wind and pending storms ran us off the lake. Dodgers/flies counted for three, and a UV Green Dolphin took the biggest off the downrigger @ 45'.
Enjoyable evening on the lake, regardless of the outcome.
