Started setting rods a little after 5:30. We were split decision the night before on whether we were going to even try for Steelhead or just go for Perch. Decided last minute we'd troll for a bit first and try for perch a little later in the day.
Had the Drum going right off the bat, and managed to get one that I would put close to the 15# mark. Even had a 12" perch hit a 100' copper with a mag spoon. That was one greedy perch!
I think we may have had a Skam on at one point, but cannot confirm as it never made it to the boat... Inshore temps lower in the water column were much warmer than they were last Friday when I was out last. Guessing the fish either pushed back out deeper or just ran up the creek...
Decided to switch to perch jerking around 9:30. Gave up on that pretty quickly as we realized the wind / chop wasn't going to allow us to drift comfortably. Tossed anchor in a couple spots but no bites, so we called it an early day.
