Fished yesterday in all it misery in the rain that wouldn’t stop haha. But it payed off fished East found a pocket of warm water that was very small where two different current lines met and the bait was there and so were the fish. It made the miserable day worth it. Dodger fly on the rigger with a green and gold fly down 20 and supper slim spoons and sliders were best for coho. Reds yellows and pinks. Then the kings show up smacking longer coppers with the same color patterns. Attention to detail was huge in having success yesterday. It was a very small allocations making tight turns to stay on them.

I was out there with you in the afternoon that was some kind of fun especially solo. I finished up with 4 coho, tossed a coupe of them and a few lakers back trying to save room for a king, but just wasn’t in the cards for me. Surface temps still in the upper 40’s and all the river water and bait around makes me think we might get a couple more king days out of the next couple of weeks.

Great job getting on some big ones. I was thinking about getting out just because sometimes the best action is in the crummiest of conditions.
Fish on!

Excellent job Bill. Coho are going to be on the endangered species list soon at the rate you guys are going. Really great looking kings also.
